Sonata-NP30-front-3
Sonata NP30 Network Music Player $599
Designed to connect to your home network, (wireless, ethernet or via RJ45), the NP30 will stream just about any music file it encounters, including 24 bit FLAC and WAV. It connects to the internet using UuVol, Cambridge Audio’s proprietary - subscription free - streaming service where over 20,000 internet radio stations can be accessed. You can even create your own playlists there. Utliizing the UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) Protocol the player will search your network for hard or NAS drives, laptops or desktops and will, to quote Cambridge Audio “burrow down” into your music file system - including iTunes! Even more remarkable iTunes needn’t be turned on for the NP30 to access your playlists or podcasts. If you can access streaming services such as Pandora then so can the NP30. USB drive? Plug it in front or rear. The included ‘unified’ remote is based on the Azur series and as you can see above there are 4 lines of text for more information. BUT their free App will turn your smart phone, iPad or iPod Touch into a smart remote! Sweet! Truth be told while support for 24/96kHz is built-in you can, using Cambridge Audio’s DacMagic and the included digital outputs connected to say the 840C, stream up to 24/386kHz. And what makes all Cambridge products including the NP30 special is the sound audiophiles demand. Hard drives and computers inherently suffer from jitter. Through a host of advances Cambridge has virtually eliminated jitter. OK so why might you want 2 of these units? Because they can talk to each other. Have one at the cottage and one at home. Any changes to one will show up in the other. The other benefit of having two NP30’s is that they come in either black or silver. With two you won’t have to choose;-)

The 340A puts all of the experience Cambridge Audio gained creating previous, highly acclaimed Azur amplifiers and into an value-priced component that can successfully compete far above its weight class. 651A copy
Azur 651A Integrated Amplifier $795
Thanks to the explosion in digital music, for many people the personal computer has become more important than their towering CD collections. Cambridge Audio listened to you and instead of adopting the more common and simpler approach of including USB connectivity on a CD player, they’ve developed a direct USB audio connection to the 651A amplifier. So now, you can simply plug your Mac or PC directly into the 651A amplifier and with the addition of your chosen speakers, you’ll instantly enjoy a whole world of digital music stored or streamed from your computer. Computers are fast becoming a great addition to the hi-fi but they’re not without their faults. Poor quality soundcards plus jitter – a side effect of digital music stored on computer hard drives – means audio performance can be really lousy. But plug your PC into the 651A and you’ll be amazed just how incredible it sounds. The in-house developed USB audio processor extracts audio data directly from your PC hard drive – bypassing its soundcard – and takes care of the critical digital to analogue conversion process bringing dull and lifeless MP3 files alive like you’ve never heard them before! Meanwhile, connection support for analogue sources like CD players, iPod docks and tuners is better than ever so whether you store or stream music from your computer, iPhone or maybe you prefer the luscious sound of good old vinyl, the all new Cambridge Audio 651 will make all your music sound amazing. 75 watts per channel.

Azur 651C CD Player $795
If you’re after a way of extracting every last piece of data from your CDs and turning it into the most musical experience imaginable, then look no further than the all-new 651C CD Player. These enhancements, in addition to completely retuned audio circuits, make for an even purer, more lifelike experience than its highly regarded predecessor. Where many CD players use drives designed for computers, at Cambridge Audio we went the extra mile and created a CD-only S3 Custom CD ServoTM drive. This audiophile design gives the 651C the ability to retrieve maximum digital information which in turn means you hear every last detail from your discs. The technology inherent in this unit is too overwhelming to list. But the bottom line is how is sounds. Come in and hear for yourself just how lifelike a performance the 651C delivers.
